Clear colorless to yellow liquid with an amine odor. Flash point 215°F. Density 0.80 g / cm3.

Insoluble in water.
Reactivity Profile
TRIAMYLAMINE may react with oxidizing agents. Neutralizes acids in exothermic reactions to form salts plus water. May be incompatible with isocyanates, halogenated organics, peroxides, phenols (acidic), epoxides, anhydrides, and acid halides. May generate flammable gaseous hydrogen in combination with strong reducing agents, such as hydrides.
