General Description

Complex of nitric oxide (NO) with spermine. Convenient reagent for preparing aqueous solutions of NO. Half-life (t_?) of NO release = 230 min (PBS, pH 7.4, 22°C).

Biological Activity

A stable complex of nitric oxide and spermine used to generate a controlled release of nitric oxide in solution (EC 50 = 6.2 μ M for relaxation of rabbit aorta, and t=39 min at 37℃, pH 7.4, aqueous solution).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Product does not compete with ATP.
