The Uses of SODIUM METATUNGSTATE
Sodium Metatungstate Hydrate is a derivative of Sodium Tungstate (S673800), a potential therapy for obesity. Sodium tungstate dihydrate is also an inhibitor of acid phosphatases.
What are the applications of Application
POM 1 is an inhibitor of NTPDase 1 and 3, also able to inhibit the breakdown of ATP activated by IP.
Biological Activity
Inhibitor of Ecto-NTPDases that displays minor selectivity for NTPDases 1 and 2 over NTPDase 3 and P2Y 12 (K i values are 2.58, 3.26, > 10 and 28.8 μ M for NTPDase 1, NTPDase 3, P2Y 12 and NTPDase 2 respectively). Abolishes renal protection induced by ischemic preconditioning.
