The Uses of SAMSA-Fluorescein
SAMSA-Fluorescein is a a fluorescent probe containing a protected sulfhydryl group. SAMSA-Fluorescein froms a thiol-containing fluorescein upon activation via removal of the acetlyl protecting group. SAMSA-Fluorescein is a useful reagent for forming fluorescent protein conjugates as well as being a usefull in assaying maleimide and iodoacetamide moieties in proteins with fluorescein.
