The Uses of RR6

(2R)-2-hydroxy-3-(hydroxymethyl)-3-methyl-N-(3-oxo-4-phenylbutyl)butanamide or RR6 is an inhibitor of Vanin which is an enzyme that play a role in the recycling of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) from pantetheine. Alterations in plasma lipid concentrations in rats caused by RR6 indicates its potential usefulness.
