What is ROEMERAMINE?
Description
One of two new 8: 9-dihydromecambrane alkaloids isolated from Roe rneria refracta, this base forms colourless crystals from MeOH. When crystallized from Et20 it forms the solvate, m.p. 59-62°C. The alkaloid is laevorotatory with [α]22D - 93° ± 3° (c 0.30, MeOH). It yields a crystalline hydrochloride, m.p. 294-5°C.
