The Uses of rac-2-Hydroxy Nicotine
rac-2-Hydroxy Nicotine is a metabolite of rac-Nicotine (N412420); an active stimulant having both addictive and carcinogenic properties. Nicotine can be absorbed through the alimentary canal, respiratory tract, and intact skin and is used in the treatment of smoking withdrawal syndrome. Nicotine has also been used as an anthelmintic.
