What is PROPIONYLCHOLINE CHLORIDE?
Enzyme inhibitor
This hygroscopic acetylcholine analogue (FW = 195.69 g/mol) is a substrate of cholinesterase (or butyrylcholinesterase) and a weak substrate for acetylcholinesterase. Solutions should always be freshly prepared as propionylcholine chloride hydolyzes nonenzymatically.
