What is POLYSULFONE?
Chemical properties
Hard, rigid, transparent solid. Tensile strength 10,000 psi, flexural strength 15,000 psi, good electrical resistance, minimum creep, low expansion coefficient. Soluble in aromatic hydro- carbons, ketones, and chlorinated hydrocarbons; resistant to corrosive acids and alkalies, heat, oxida- tion, detergents, oils, and alcohols. Dimensionally stable over the temperature range ?100 to +148C; tends to absorb moisture, readily processed and fab- ricated. Combustible but self-extinguishing.
The Uses of POLYSULFONE
Power-tool housings, electrical equipment, extruded pipe and sheet, automotive components, electronic parts, appliances, computer components, base matrix for stereotype printing plates.
