The Uses of Polygalacic acid
Polygalacic acid can be used to calm the nerves, eliminate phlegm, reduce swelling, etc. It is mostly used clinically to treat bronchitis, induce labor, and induce labor.
Biological Activity
Polygalacic acid is a triterpenoid tetrahydroxy acid isolated from Polygala paenea L.. It (0-100μM; 24h) can significantly reduce the mRNA expression of MMP-3, MMP-9, MMP-13 and COX-2, and the expression of these factors can be significantly increased by IL-1β in a dose-dependent manner .

Polygalacic acid (0-100 μM; 6 hours) decreases the expression of phosphor-p38, phosphor-Erk, and phosphor-Jnk induced by IL-1β, phosphor-p65 is not reduced by polygalacic acid.
