Enzyme inhibitor
This photosynthetic electron transport inhibitor (FW = 239.74 g/mol; CAS 2307-68-8), also known as Solan?, (RS)-3’-chloro-2-methylvaler-ptoluidide, and N-(3-chloro-4-methylphenyl)-2-methylpentanamide, is a selective pre- and post-emergence herbicide used to control annual weeds in fields producing carrots, celery, fennel, and parsley. Pentanochlor is also used in contact sprays with flowers and ornamental plants
