Palatine Chrome Green is an organic dye used with textiles such as cotton. Palatine Chrome Green can be coordinated to iron(II) to increase its lightfasteness.

2-Amino-4-nitrophenol diazotization, in alkaline condition and?4-Amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid coupling.
Properties and Applications
dark blue light green. Black-green uniform powder. Soluble in water for red light purple, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in other organic solvent. In concentrated sulfuric acid to purple, dilution after pink. Dye aqueous solution and concentrated hydrochloric acid to red; Crowding sodium hydroxide solution for purple. Mainly used for wool fabric dyeing, also can be used for silk, nylon post-mordant dyeing.
