Biological Activity
Potent and selective inhibitor of thromboxane (TXA 2 ) synthetase (IC 50 = 4 nM). Does not inhibit prostacyclin (PGI 2 ) synthetase, cyclooxygenase or PGE 2 isomerase (IC 50 > 1 mM). Inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro and arachidonate-induced arterial contraction in vivo .
