What is ORIDINE?

Description

This base occurs in Papaver oreophilurn and has the 1 S-hexahydropronuciferine structure with the hydroxyl group in an axial position on ring D. Treatment with AC20 gives the triacetyl derivative which is dextrorotatory with [α] 22 D + 82.3° ± 8° (c 0.70, MeOH).
