What is Mefentrifluconazole?
Description
Mefentrifluconazole is a C14-demethylation inhibitor in sterol biosynthesis, the first new isopropanol triazole fungicide developed and marketed by BASF. Mycloflunomide exhibits excellent biological properties, it is broad-spectrum, high-efficiency. Also It can prevent many fungal diseases such as rust and diseases caused by Ascidia.
The Uses of Mefentrifluconazole
Revysol is a useful research chemical compound used in the preparation of halogenalkylphenoxyphenyltriazolylethano??l derivatives for use as fungicides.
Indications
Mefentrifluconazole is suitable for more than 60 kinds of crops, such as field crops, commercial crops and special crops. There are field crops such as corn, cereals, soybeans, rice, etc., as well as economic crops such as green peppers and grapes, and ornamental plants.
Definition
ChEBI: 2-[4-(4-chlorophenoxy)-2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-2-ol is an aromatic ether that is diphenyl ether substituted by a 2-hydroxy-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-2-yl group at position 1, trifluoromethyl group at position 2 and a chloro group at position 4. It is a member of monochlorobenzenes, a member of triazoles, a tertiary alcohol, an aromatic ether and a member of (trifluoromethyl)benzenes.
Synthesis
Mefentrifluconazole can be synthesized from 4-bromo-2-trifluoromethyl-1-iodobenzene via five steps of Grignard reaction, epoxidation, ring opening, boronation and deesterification.
