ChEBI: N-[(S)-lactoyl]-L-phenylalanine is a L-phenylalanine derivative that is L-phenylalanine in which the amino group is replaced by a [(2S)-2-hydroxypropanoyl]amino group. It is a metabolite produced as a result of exercise in mice, racehorses, and humans which suppresses feeding and obesity. It has a role as a human metabolite, a mouse metabolite, a mammalian metabolite and an anti-obesity agent. It is a L-phenylalanine derivative and a N-acyl-L-amino acid. It is a conjugate acid of a N-[(S)-lactoyl]-L-phenylalaninate.
