What is KIKEMANINE (Corydalmine)?

Description

One of the numerous proto berberine alkaloid obtained from Corydalis species, this base occurs in Corydalis pallida var. tenuis Yatabe and is obtained as colour_x0002_less crystals from EtOH. The alkaloid is laevorotatory with [α]18D - 287° (CHCI3). The (±)-form is higher melting with m.p. 185-7°C.
