What is ISOSOPHORAMINE?
Description
One of a number of alkaloids obtained from Sophora pachycarpa Schrenk., this base forms colourless crystals when purified by recrystallization from petroleum ether. It has a specific rotation of [αd Q + 52.86° (EtOH) and furnishes a crystalline hydrochloride, m.p. 335-6 C and a picrate as slender yellow needles, m.p.185-7°C.
