What is irisolidone?

Description

Irisolidone is a hydrolyzed product of kudzurin. Studies have shown that it can significantly dilate coronary arteries, cerebral arteries and peripheral blood vessels and microvessels, and can reduce vascular resistance, cholesterol and blood viscosity.

Chemical properties

Light yellow crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from kudzu.

The Uses of irisolidone

Irisolidone has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-tumor, estrogen-like effects, and protects liver damage caused by alcoholism.

Biological Activity

Irisolidone is the main isoflavone in pueraria. Irisolidone has strong hepatoprotective activity. It has a highly effective blocking effect on the anion channel VRAC.

Irisolidone shows the high efficacy for Volume-regulated anion channels (VRAC) blockade with an IC ₅₀ of 9.8 μM in HEK293 cells.
It can inhibit endothelial cell proliferation.
