Description

(±)-Clorprenaline-d₇ is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of clorprenaline by GC- or LC-MS. Clorprenaline is a β₂-adrenergic receptor agonist.¹ It reverses pilocarpine-induced constriction of isolated guinea pig trachea, rabbit lung, and bronchi of pithed dogs.² It has been detected in pork, beef, mutton, and chicken muscle food samples by UPLC-Q-orbitrap-HRMS.¹ Formulations containing clorprenaline have been used as partitioning agents and growth promoters in livestock.
