Poison by intravenous route. Moderately toxic by ingestion and possibly other routes. Questionable carcinogen with experimental carcinogenic and tumorigenic data. An irritant. A pesticide. See also CHLOROPHENOLS. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of Cl and SOx.
