Ethyl-2-formyl-2-phenylacetate is an intermediate of Lixisheng.
Synthesis
Use ethyl phenylacetate and ethyl formate to condense under the participation of metallic sodium to generate α-(sodium methacrylate) ethyl phenylacetate, and then acidify to obtain Ethyl-2-formyl-2-phenylacetate.
