Ethychlozate is a plant regulator developed by Nissan Chemical Industries in 1976 and commercial producted in 1981. It can controlle the vegetative growth of plants and promote the transformation from vegetative growth to reproductive growth.

Mechanism of action
Ethychlozate is a hormone-type plant growth regulators. It is released in plants, resulting in abscission and shedding of young fruits. After being sprayed, the agent can be quickly transferred from the leaf surface to the root within a few days, thereby enhancing the physiological activity of the root system. Ethychlozate can improve the metabolism of minerals and water in plants, and fruit quality.
