The Uses of Direct Grey D

Direct Black 17 (CAS# 2945-96-2) is an organic azo dye. When coordinted to Cu(II) metal centers, direct black 17 aids in the polarization of light in the near-UV region and visible spectra.

Preparation

(a) 4-Nitrobenzenamine diazo, and 2-Amino-4-methylanisole coupling, again diazo, in alkaline conditions and 6-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid?coupling, and then will the nitro reduction for amino; (b) N-(4-aminophenyl)acetamide diazo, and 2-Amino-4-methylanisole close, then diazo, in alkaline conditions and 6-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid acid hydrolysis, then three amino acetylcholine.

Properties and Applications

green light gray to green and black. Black powder. Soluble in water for violet black, 80 ℃ in the solubility of 20 g/L, soluble in ethanol gray light purple. The strong sulfuric acid is a deep blue in green, orange brown after diluted precipitation. The dye solution to join strong hydrochloric acid for dark brown, have precipitation; ?Adding concentrated sodium hydroxide solution in gray light purple precipitate. Cellulose fiber of dyeing, the dye absorption rate as well, in 40 ~ 80 ℃ maximum of affinity, discharge the gender is good. Used for cotton or viscose dyeing, is not used for printing. Can also be used for silk, PVA, polyamide fiber and its blended fabric dyeing.
