What is Direct Green 58?
Preparation
4-(4-Aminophenyl)benzenamine double nitriding, first in alkaline conditions and 4-Nitrobenzenamine diazo, in acid conditions and 4-Amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-1,7-disulfonic acid and product of the three matches, and then coupled with phenol, finally the method with the nitro reduction.
Properties and Applications
dark green. Moderate soluble in water for blue light green, slightly soluble in alcohol. The strong sulfuric acid for violet black, diluted with light dark purple. The dye solution to join strong hydrochloric acid have dark blue light grey precipitation; Add thick sodium hydroxide solution for dark green light gray
