The Uses of CUCURBITACIN IIA
Cucurbitacin IIa has the effect of inhibiting Shigella, Salmonella typhi and Salmonella choleraesuis.
Biological Activity
Cucurbitacin IIa is a triterpene isolated from orchard fruit snow gall, which can induce apoptosis in cancer cells. It reduces the expression of survivin, reduces the level of phosphorylated histone H3, and increases the level of cleaved PARP in cancer cells.
