Chemical properties
Yellow paste, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from the rhizome of Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.
The Uses of coniferyl ferulate
Coniferyl ferulate has anticoagulant effect.
Biological Activity
Coniferyl ferulate is a potent inhibitor of glutathione S-transferase (GST) isolated from Angelicae sinensis, reverses multidrug resistance and downregulates P-glycoprotein. Coniferyl ferulate potently inhibits human placental glutathione S-transferase with IC50 of 0.3 μM.
