Preparation
aniline?and p-Methylaniline diazo, and 5-Hydroxy-4-(2-hydroxynaphthalene-7-sulfonamido)naphthalene-1,7-disulfonic acid?coupling.
Properties and Applications
red. Red powder, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol for orange. The strong sulfuric acid dyes are cherry red, dilute to orange. The water solution is orange. Add after strong hydrochloric acid color unchanged; Add thick sodium hydroxide solution to orange brown. Used for wool, silk and their blended fabric dyeing and printing.
