The Uses of C.I. 482200
C.I. 482200 (also called Fluorescent Brightener 351) is an optical brightener. Optical brighteners can improve the whiteness and gloss of substances. Mainly used in textile, papermaking, plastics, leather, soap, synthetic detergents, and other daily necessities industrial sectors. Fluorescent whitening is different from chemical bleaching in that it will not damage the color and strength of the fabric. However, if fabrics and papers with dark background colors are directly treated with a whitening agent without bleaching, good results will not be obtained.
