What is C-PEPTIDE (DOG)?
The Uses of C-PEPTIDE (DOG)
C-peptide of proinsulin is important for the biosynthesis of insulin. C-Peptide was initially thought to have no intrinsic biological activity, but data now indicates multiple biological effects of C-peptide, including binding to cell membranes, activation of signaling pathways, and stimulation of Na+,K+-ATPase and endothelial nitric oxide synthetase.
