Bis(2-chloroethyl)amine hydrochloride is used as an intermediate chemical synthesis and building block for piperazine derivatives. It is a cytotoxic metabolite of Cyclophosphamide, a deuterated analogue of Nor-nitrogen mustard.

It is used to manufacture APls like Aripiprazole,Batoprazine,Cyclophosphamide,Eltoprazine hydrochloride，Estramustine phosphate，lfosfamide,ltraconazole, Ketoconazole, Lensiprazine, Naluzotan,Trazodone.
