What is Benazol P?
Description
Aslight stabilizers, Benazol P can absorb the ultraviolet part of sunlight or fluorescent sources without changing their structure. It can convert high-energy ultraviolet light energy into heat energy or non-destructive longer light waves and release them, thereby protecting substances added with ultraviolet absorbers from ultraviolet light damage. Mainly used as a light stabilizer for plastics, rubbers, coatings, dyes, etc., to prevent their photolysis when exposed to sunlight for a long time.
Chemical properties
Colorless or pale yellow crystal, melting point 130~131℃. Relative density 1.38. Soluble in benzene, gasoline, acetone and other organic solvents, extremely insoluble in water, and not decomposed by concentrated alkali and concentrated acid. It can be ionized with heavy metals to synthesize salts.
Ultraviolet absorber uV-P is a high-efficiency ultraviolet absorber, which can effectively absorb ultraviolet rays of 290-400mμ, mainly used in plexiglass, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyacrylonitrile, polypropylene, unsaturated resin , polycarbonate, polymethyl methacrylate, polyethylene, ABS resin, epoxy resin, fiber resin, polyester, chlorine-containing polyester, acetate fiber, etc. This product hardly absorbs visible light, is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-explosive, non-corrosive, and has good storage stability. It is especially suitable for colorless, transparent and color-forming products. The general dosage is 0.1-0.5% in thin products and 0.1-0.5% in thick products. 0.05-0.2%. This product is allowed to be used in plastic products that come into contact with food. The crude product of ultraviolet absorber uV-P can be obtained by coupling the diazotized product of o-nitroaniline with p-cresol and then reductive acidification.
The Uses of Benazol P
Benazol P can be used as UV absorber for polyester, polystyrene, acrylic resin, polyvinyl chloride and other plastics, fibers and coatings.
