What is Basic protease?
Description
Basic protease is a kind of serine brittle and highly alkaline (about pH9~10) protein enzyme, which can hydrolyze the peptide chain of protein molecules to generate polypeptides or amino acids, and has a strong ability to decompose proteins.
The Uses of Basic protease
Basic protease is widely used in leather depilation, silk degumming, enzyme-added washing powder, etc.
Synthesis
Basic protease is prepared by fermentation of Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus pumilus.
