BASIC BLUE 4

Chemical properties

Bronze uniform powder. Soluble in water and ethanol, green light blue. Dyeing at high temperature (120℃), the shade is greener. When dyeing, the color of copper ions turns green, and the color of iron ions is dim.

The Uses of BASIC BLUE 4

Basic blue 4 is mainly used for color matching of acrylic fiber strips and acrylic wool yarns, with bright color and good levelness.

Synthesis

Using m-hydroxy-N,N-diethylaniline as the basic raw material, after methylation, nitrosation, ring-forming condensation, adding zinc chloride to form salt, filtering and drying to obtain Basic blue 4.
