General Description

Tenascin N (TNN) is part of the tenascin family, whose members are expressed in the extracellular matrix. TNN is a 1294 amino acid protein. It possesses an amino-terminal oligomerization domain, few epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like repeats, nine fibronectin type III (FNIII) domains and a carboxy-terminal fibrinogen globe. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 1.
