General Description

Gasdermin C (GSDMC) contains a leucine zipper motif and two potential nuclear localization signals. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 8q24.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Gasdermin C (GSDMC) may be involved in the modulation of epithelial apoptosis. It has been shown to be a tumor suppressor.
