What is 6-METHOXYLUTEOLIN?
Chemical properties
Yellow crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from the leaves of Artemisia argyi, the aerial part of the aerial part of A. syringae officinalis.
The Uses of 6-METHOXYLUTEOLIN
Nepetin can be anti-tumor, insecticide, anti-SARS virus, and antibacterial.
Biological Activity
Zelan flavonoid (6-Methoxyluteolin) is a natural flavonoid isolated from Eupatorium ballotaefolium HBK with potent anti-inflammatory activity. Nepetin inhibits IL-6, IL-8 and MCP-1 secretion in ARPE-19 cells with IC50 values of 4.43 μM, 3.42 μM and 4.17 μM, respectively.
