The product 3,5-dibenzyloxyacetophenone is widely used as intermediate in the production of a pharmaceutical for treatment of obesity, diabetes, glaucoma, AIDS, HIV infection, antiinflammatory effects, and also in the treatment of disorders which result from leukotriene, tranquilizers, hypotensives, diuretics, and antiglaucoma agents.^[1]
