ChEBI: 3-aminoadipic acid is an amino dicarboxylic acid that is adipic acid in which one of the hydrogens at position 3 is replaced by an amino group. It is a beta-amino acid, an amino dicarboxylic acid and a gamma-amino acid. It is functionally related to an adipic acid.
