2-Bromo-2',5'-dichloroacetophenone is a reagent used in the preparation of aminoarylthiazole derivatives as correctors of chloide transport defect in cystic fibrosis. Also used in the preparation of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives as DPP-4 inhibitors for used in treating type 2 diabetes melitus.
