2-Aminonorbornane hydrochloride is a large neutral amino acid transport inhibitor and lowers the brain phenylalanine level in Pahenu2 mice.
Purification Methods
Recrystallise the salt from MeOH/EtOAc or EtOH/ Et2O. The free base has m 75-80o, b 156-157o/atm and the picrate has m 179-180o (from aqueous MeOH). [Beilstein 12 III 160.]
