The Uses of 1,2-Dioxane
Certain derivatives of 1,2-Dioxane (cyclic glycol acetals) are used in perfumes and flavors. Dioxane is slightly toxic in its effect upon the human Central Nervous System. It is also flammable and presents a fire hazard.
