PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
description
Fluorine F 18 W372 is a radiotracer composed of W372 radiolabeled with the radioisotope fluorine F 18, with potential amyloid-beta (Abeta) peptide imaging activity upon positron emission topography (PET). Upon administration, the W372 moiety of fluorine F 18 W372 selectively targets and binds to amyloid-beta in the brain. Upon binding, amyloid-beta plaques can be visualized and detected during PET imaging. Amyloid-beta accumulates in the brain and is a key component in plaque formation in Alzheimer's disease.
