Contains 20 mM PB and 50 mM NaCl. Lactoferrin (LF), also known as lactotransferrin (Lactotransferrin, LTF), is a globular glycoprotein with a molecular weight of about 80kD. The structure of LF contains two highly homologous lobes, the N and C lobes, each of which can reversibly bind two iron ions. LF, a member of the transferrin family, transports iron ions into cells and controls the concentration of free iron ions in blood and secretions. At the same time, LF also has the physiological functions of antibacterial, antiviral, antitumor and antiallergic, and is an important part of the body's own immune system.
