Lactic Acid supplier

Lactic acid is a clear to slightly yellowish, odourless, syrupy liquid consisting of a mixture of lactic acid and lactic acid lactate.

Used in industries from food and drink through to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and personal care products, lactic acid is also widely used in the manufacture of cleaning agents and detergents. It is environmentally favourable, economical and possess excellent de-scaling and anti-bacterial properties and is commonly found as the key ingredient in many coffee machine descaling products.

Food grade lactic acid from Monarch Chemicals meets the requirements of Food Chemical Codex (FCC) and is suitable for use as a food additive E270. Lactic Acid Food Grade E270 is used in the food and drink industry to regulate pH controlling the acidity, preserves fruits and vegetables from discolouration, provides a tartness to certain products to help balance flavours and in the brewing industry it is used to reduce the alkalinity and enable optimum pH levels throughout the whole brewing process. It also enhances flavour and improves the clarity and stability.
