cyanuric acid

Cyanuric acid or 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triol is a chemical compound with the formula (CNOH)3. Like many industrially useful chemicals, this triazine has many synonyms. This white, odorless solid finds use as a precursor or a component of bleaches, disinfectants, and herbicides. In 1997, worldwide production was 160 million kilograms.

Character

White crystal. It depolymerized to cyanic acid and isocyanic acid at about 330℃. The precipitation from the water contained 2 molecules of crystal water, with a relative density of 1.768 (0℃), which lost moisture in the air and weathered; Precipitation from concentrated hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid is anhydrous crystallization. 1g can dissolve in about 200ml water, no odor, slightly bitter taste. The product is also in ketone form (or isocyanuric acid).

Used in the manufacture of cyanuric acid bromide, chloride, bromide, chloride, iodine chloride and cyanuric acid salts, esters, mainly used for the synthesis of a new type of sterilization disinfectant, water treatment agent, bleach, chloride, bromide, antioxidants, paint coating, selective herbicides and metal cyanide moderator, also can be directly used as pool chlorine stabilizer, nylon, plastic, polyester flame retardants and cosmetics additive, the synthesis of special resin, etc.
