Character
Appearance: white powder, insoluble in water. Soluble in ethanol, benzene, turpentine, mineral oil, alkali. It is decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding aluminum salt by heating or by strong acid. It interacts with aromatics and aliphatic hydrocarbons to form colloids.
Application
1. It can be used as a thermal stabilizer of polyvinyl chloride
2. Anti-rust agent for metals, water-repellent agent for building materials, emulsifier for cosmetics,
