Vitamin B2, also called riboflavin, is one of the B vitamins, slightly soluble in water, and stable when heated in neutral or acidic solutions.
Chemical properties
Vitamin B2/Riboflavin is Yellow to orange-yellow crystalline powder, slightly odor, slightly bitter taste. The melting point is 280°C (decomposition). Easily soluble in alkaline solution and sodium chloride solution, slightly soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether and chloroform.
