Triethyl citrate

Triethyl citrate is a plasticizer for adhesives and sealants, and its molecular formula is C12H20O7. It has strong solubility and good compatibility with many resins, and products plasticized with it have good oil resistance, light resistance and mildew resistance.

It is mainly used as a plasticizer for cellulose, vinyl and other thermoplastic resins. It is also used in the coating industry, and it can also be used as a berry flavor.

Used as a plasticizer for adhesives and sealants, it can replace dibutyl phthalate, diisobutyl phthalate, dimethyl phthalate, diethyl phthalate, etc.

Used in the preparation of pharmaceutical excipients and capsule plasticizers.

Solubility: the solubility in water is 6.5 g/100cm3 (25°C). It is soluble in most organic solvents, but hardly soluble in oils. It has good compatibility with most cellulose, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate resin and chlorinated rubber.
